2019 - Week 26 Winners

Christiaan Bezuidenhout (ranked 29th by Golf Predictor) won the Estrella Damm N.A. Andalucia Masters on the European PGA Tour. The 25 year old South African won his first tour title with an impressive display at Valderrama. Leading by five strokes overnight, a closing round of even par was good enough for Bezuidenhout to extend his winning margin to six on the testing Valderrama layout. Our top ranked player, Jon Rahm, finished in tied second despite an over par final round. Overall, we had seven of the top fifteen plus ties (7/19).

Nate Lashley (not ranked by Golf Predictor as he was a late alternate) won the inaugural Rocket Mortgage Classic on the US PGA Tour. The 36 year old American also won his first tour title by six shots with a great display in Detroit. Lashley opened up with 63 (-9) ans easily went wire to wire to complete an amazing story. Having lost his parents and girlfriend in a plane crash, only getting his tour card a couple of years ago, missing out in Monday qualifying and getting in anyway, Lashley's win was as popular as it was unlikely. Our top ranked player,  Dustin Johnson, missed the cut, despite it being a turkey shoot in Detroit! Overall, we had seven of the top seventeen plus ties (7/20) in this new event where the lesser lightly largely took the limelight.
